Barry Hershey - DIRECTOR
Barry previously directed and co-wrote the dramatic feature The Empty Mirror (www.emptymirror.com), starring Norman Rodway and Joel Grey, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was then released theatrically by Lions Gate Films, broadcast on HBO and distributed by 1091 digitally.

Prior to that Barry directed a number of award-winning short films ((www.soundofpeace.com): Odyssey, Filmmaker, Untitled 1987, Lucifer: God's Most Beautiful Angel and Sound of Peace, all of which are assembled in the compilation DVD, Quintessence. Among the many honors the films received are a Gold Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival and a CINE Golden Eagle. Barry studied filmmaking at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Southern California (USC), where he received his MFA in Cinema.

Barry also directed a feature film documentary, Leading To War (www.LeadingToWar.com), that focuses on the techniques the Bush Administration used to lead the American people to support the war against Iraq..



Lewis Wheeler - PRODUCER
Lewis has been working in film and television production for 14 years as a producer, production manager, assistant director, editor, and cameraman. He co-produced the dramatic feature The Blue Diner for WGBH/PBS/CPB, and has worked on such films as Looking for Richard, directed by Al Pacino, Siege at Alta View, directed by Peter Levin, No Room for Opal (WCVB Boston), This Boy's Life, A Shock to the System, and Our Father, produced by Sandra Bullock. Lewis received an MFA from The American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His undergraduate thesis film, Sing Praises to the Poisoned Arrow, screened at nine international festivals and won Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Familiar with the other side of the audition table as well, Lewis is also an actor, appearing currently (June 2007) in Harold Pinter’s No Man's Land at the American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) in Cambridge. Other regional theatre productions include Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia (IRNE Nomination for Best Actor), The Glass Menagerie, Caryl Churchill’s A Number, Macbethand Taming of the Shrew. Film and television work include Disney’s upcoming Underdog and The Game Plan, Miramax’s Gone Baby Gone, Side by Each with Blythe Danner, and a recurring role on Showtime’s Brotherhood.


Marc Grossman - EDITOR
Marc Grossman has edited many feature films, television shows and commercials since attending film school at UCLA. He previously collaborated with Barry Hershey on The Empty Mirror and Sound of Peace. His association with Zalman King includes stints as editor of the Showtime series Red Shoe Diaries as well as the feature films Wild Orchid, Two Moon Junction and Delta of Venus. Marc also cut Tuff Turf with James Spader and Robert Downey Jr., Once Bitten starring Jim Carrey, and Far From Home with Drew Barrymore. Marc recently received an Emmy for Single-Camera Editing of the national daytime reality series Starting Over.


Allie Humenuk - CINEMATOGRAPHY
Allie Humenuk is an award-winning filmmaker whose short films have been seen nationally and internationally at museums, film festivals and on television. She is primarily known for her work as a freelance cinematographer; clients include PBS, MTV, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Front Line and CBC. For many years she taught film and video production at Harvard University, and is currently the Executive Producer at Vida Health Communications, where she creates public health videos about women’s health and childhood development. She has just completed her first feature length documentary, Shadow of the House, about photographer Abelardo Morell.
